Fantasy Bid League Rules

This fantasy league offers a unique experience through its live bidding system. Every team begins with an equal budget, and players are secured by placing the highest bid. Once the bidding process concludes, each player is assigned to only one team—ensuring no duplication across squads. The result is a system that is simple, fair, and genuinely competitive.

1. League Setup

Each league is created and managed by a league owner. Teams can join either by invitation or by using a unique league code. All teams begin with the same budget of £200 million, which is used exclusively for bidding on players during the live auction process.

2. Budgets

Each team is allocated a fixed budget at the start of the league. Every bid placed is deducted from the team’s remaining funds, and bids cannot exceed the available balance. How the budget is managed and spent is entirely at the discretion of each team.

3. Bidding for Players

All teams are free to bid on any available player. Bidding takes place in real time, allowing teams to increase their bids while the auction remains open. Competing teams may outbid one another at any point before the bidding window closes.

4. Winning a Player

When the bidding window closes, the player is awarded to the team with the highest bid. Ownership of that player is then secured by the winning team, with the bid amount deducted from their remaining budget. Once a player has been won, they are soley owned by the winning team.

5. Tie Bids

If two or more teams place identical bids, the bid submitted first is given priority. This approach rewards quick decision-making and timely responses during the bidding process.

6. Squad Limits

Teams must meet a minimum squad size of 18 before the fantasy game can begin, ensuring each team is properly rostered. There is no maximum squad size, allowing teams flexibility in building their roster. These rules help maintain fair and balanced competition across the league.

A penalty of 10 points will be applied if a team does not meet the minimum squad requirement. Additionally, if the squad contains fewer than 16 players, a further 2-point deduction will be applied for each player missing from the full 18-player roster.

7. Bidding Windows

Bidding occurs within designated time windows, giving all teams an equal opportunity to participate. The app provides notifications when bidding opens and shortly before it closes to keep teams informed and engaged.

8. Player Scouting

The scouting tool allows you to monitor players of interest, providing notifications when bids are placed and displaying the player’s current value. Additional features, including news updates, injury reports, and detailed player statistics, will be added in future updates to enhance your decision-making.

9. Transfers & Changes

Once bidding concludes, player ownership is finalized and cannot be changed. Additional bidding windows may be introduced later in the season, with all transfer rules clearly communicated before each window opens.

10. Social & Fair Play

Chat and reactions add to the enjoyment of the game, but all players are expected to interact respectfully. Abusive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the league.

11. Scoring and points

  • League scoring is based on standard fantasy football rules, with points awarded according to real-life player performances. The team accumulating the highest total points by the end of the season is declared the winner.

12. Rule Changes

League settings may be adjusted by the league owner prior to the start of the season. Any changes to the rules will be clearly communicated to all participants.
